^James drawing I did last night.^ I used The GIMP, which has a much nicer interface than Paint. So I suppose that due to the ease of use GIMP affords, I'm still not as leet an artist as a certain Middle Eastern friend/reader of this journal (who shall remain unnamed, as she knows who she is.)  Still, I'm quite proud of myself. It's got a neat, bold doodled/graffiti look. I'm also working on a portrait of Nekou. I officially regret any bad notions I had about GIMP. God, I love that thing.


I AM SICK OF HEARING ABOUT PARIS HILTON. Seriously, it's a sad commentary on American culture when there's a G8 summit going on (not to mention a Space Shuttle launch this evening) and all you get on the cable news is footage of the police car going to the courthouse. I mean, I was in McDonald's for lunch today, and all Fox News was doing was a play by play, basically, of the whole thing.  Not that Fox News is particularly representative of journalistic integrity, but really. I was like, "Isn't there some Democrat you can be hating right now?"  

Really, she's done NOTHING to help the world. She deserves little or no time in the media, as far as I'm concerned (though I suppose there's more than a little hypocrisy in my bitching about her on here. But I'm just saying what needs to be said here.)

I'm probably going to start writing again very soon... playing around with GIMP has awakened the creative spark in my brain (so does playing VJ, I've found... mindless stuff like that is good for occupying my concious while the subconcious is free to run about getting ideas into it. So, if anyone's got any ideas for a fic you'd like to see on R100, tell me. Assuming it's not Commandshipping, or anything similar (I think it's a safe bet everyone knows my feelings on those kind of pairings by now), you might see it up there. Yay. (And some Diamondshipping plot bunnies would rock... that comm needs more Diamondshipping. Badly.)

I agree 105% on the Paris Hilton thing. It was "breaking news" today, and I was like, there's GOT to be something else going on in the world that's more important. >.>

Yeah, the Paris Hilton thing has gone on long enough. But you have to admit, that one picture of her just bawling when daddy's money and her whorish ways didn't get her out of trouble was good for a nice long LOL.

GIMP is fun, but a little too heavy for my computer~ ^^; I mostly used it for messing with icons, the few times I did use it.
I like ta stick with low-resolution stuff like MS Paint and BBS Paint.

Awww, that's an awesome picture, though! <3 Cute! Though odd how the shine in his hair is this bright blue-blue while his his hair is lavendar blue. xD I LOVE the eyes! ^^ They're so pretty!
