That looks like a Kankurou! Yep, saw the hood, definitely a Kankurou. Hard to recognize due to lack of kabuki face paint. xD; Now, if I had read your puppet guy comment first, I would have figured it out sooner. ^^;

Aha, that movie opening scene is also recreating another scene in the actual DP anime where Pochama puffs its chest up trying to out-do its evolutionary form. Should tell you I'm a DP nut for relating this to that and not the recreation that preceeded your recreation. (Though, yes, it is ADORABLE in movie animation too. ♥)
