Random thoughts on random things
Feb. 23rd, 2007 04:55 pmBecause we all have them, and I'm posting mine.
That sign outside Walgreens that says "Colts Pride is Still Alive": Translation: We have Colts crap, the Superbowl's over, and you've all bought your World Champions stuff elsewhere, but won't you come in and buy some of ours so we can get rid of it?
Heroes: Wow. All I can say is, THANK YOU, NBC FOR THE HEART ATTACK. Seriously, that whole scene in Issac's studio the last episode, I was like, "No! Don't kill Peter!" And then they kill off his girlfriend. Stop telling us someone will die unless they're important to the story. Also: Please don't EVER let that Neutrogena ad with Hayden Panetierre run after a Claire angsting scene AGAIN. Way to (really) kill a character.
Rude PUSA reps: You know, treating SOVA members like crap's not gonna make us back down any. Give us problems and we'll have all the more reason to "annoy" you.
MP3 Players: Thank God (or Sandisk, in this case,) for them. Otherwise, I would have been stuck listening to The Fray at tech Tuesday.
Puzzle League: One of these days, I WILL beat your Giovanni level in Spa Service. The FIRST time. Enjoy pissing me off while you can.
Fandom: I'm thinking of getting involved in Heroes fandom, but I'm a bit nervous about joining a forum. So I'll test the waters with an LJ community first. Maybe. I've just heard horror stories about Harry Potter fandom (which is exactly why I avoid it). I mean, after the Equus pictures came out, they were just all "ZOMG, Harry's NEKKID LOLz!"
Researchershipping: GiovannixSebastian, for those who've not been reading this journal lately. It's a nice pairing... not as nasty as some of the OTHER Giovanni pairings out there, either. Especially some of the other yaoi ones. Mondo, anyone? It's cute, and they make a nice couple, not to mention, it's fun to write. Don't worry- I haven't given up Diamondshipping. Far as I'm concerned, he's bi. No guy who wears orange can be all straight... but he can't be all gay either. Now there just need to be more supporters than me and Azurill...
Sporking: Lily got me interested. I've got a hankering to spork some Mary Sue Claire fics, or some HiroxAndo yaoi, or some Rocketshipping... but she needs to send me those sporks she's done first (hint, hint ^_^).
Team Rocket fandom: I was talking with Lisa-kun on the phone on Wednesday, and my Team Rocket fandom came up... I have to wonder, how the heck do we live with ourselves? I mean, I've had more than a few guilt trips watching Mewtwo Returns. I try and rationalize it (which I usually end up doing), but really, if you stop and think that it's an entire fandom built around a bunch of sadists, it's kinda sad. Which is why you don't think, I suppose.
BlackRocketHQ: We desperately need more characters. Feel free to join anytime. Really. We can't run off three people, you know.
Rocket 100: Best. LJ Community. Ever. If you aren't a member, but want to write some TR fanfic (or any other evil team, for that matter), come by and join. Really. People haven't been posting lately, though... I guess it's just another of those creative dry periods.
