So, yeah. I guess everyone's just absolutely fascinated to know what I did over Spring Break.. and that is, not much. Yep. Stuck at home again. Annoying.
Mostly, I watched anime. And played Wind Waker, so if anyone asked where I spent Spring Break I could tell them Hyrule and have them be all "WTF?" but I got stuck in the Temple of the Gods or whatever that dungeon's called. So I need to go to GameFaqs and get that taken care of. Then I decided Slayers Next needed finishing, so I watched that. Good ending. Won't ruin it, but it ROCKED. Dollar General had some anime DVDs 2 for $6, so I picked up Cowboy Bebop Vol. 5 and Vol.1 of Galaxy Angel (which I wasn't sure about, but it's AWESOME. And it didn't have as much fanservice as I thought.) I haven't watched the Bebop one yet, but I plan to soon...
I would have written some fanfiction, but ended up getting distracted. I finally managed to get the bows stitched on my Lolita skirt I started reconstructing last month, and made one tiny hairbow out of some black fabric leftover from my Prom dress and lace I was going to stitch onto a hoodie. I'm going to start on the next one soon, but I want to wait till I have time to really make it and create a tutorial.
I also ended up getting some new Lolita clothes; a black blouse with buttons in the front, a heart and crossbones print blouse, and a plain peter pan collar blouse (all three with puff sleeves) and a new hoodie. It's burgundy with a black lace print all over, a ruffle down the front and around the hood, and gathered sleeves. It's VERY cool.
On Saturday evening I went to my old high school's production of Music Man (hence the subject line of this post; if you haven't seen it, rent it, you'll love it); it was INCREDIBLE. Even though I really never liked Adam Rochford, he did great work as Harold Hill. Mostly because he was playing himself more or less, but anyway... And I wore Lolita to it of course. My newly finished bow skirt, my peter pan blouse, and my lace blouse with the flared sleeves (or whatever you call it when there's a big drapey piece of fabric at the end.) It looked awesome. Really shoulda posted pics.
I'm just annoyed I didn't get more done. I was planning on writing a follow up to Desert with more Sebastian angst (and I came up with a hilarious Giovanni line to go at the end, which I won't share for fear of ruining it for you guys), but THAT didn't get done, and I was going to rip all my DVDs to my computer to start making AMVs. That didn't happen, either. I am a terrible procrastinator. (On the bright side, I doodled what's the start of a one-shot Sebastian comic. It's a play on the Mentos commercials, and it's ALL drawn chibi.)
If anyone wants to throw out any ideas for fanfiction, you're welcome to.
(Oh, and let's all take a moment to remember Random Grunt #1, who just died in Black Rocket HQ. You will be remembered, our fallen throwaway character. *cues "Time of Your Life," starts highlight reel of RG1 getting knocked out by Brody and dying in Nekou's arms.)
