rosejailmaiden: (livin on a prayer)
So, I beat MD2 last night. And I'm not as happy about it as I should be.

The ending is really sad. I won't ruin it for anyone who's not yet finished/played it, but let's just say it's along the lines of Wish Maker. And I'll admit, it's the first time I ever cried during a video game. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but usually when games make people cry it's something like Final Fantasy, something really epic like that. This was a Pokemon game. And I just felt (and still feel) kinda stupid. I mean, I HARDLY cried during Tales Of Symphonia, and there's plenty of tragic stuff in that.

Why does so much of Pokemon have to be about saying goodbye? I mean, you've got the Butterfree episode, the Pikachu one, and that's just season 1, and then every season has like, at least 3 episodes about parting with a long sad montage and then everyone being like "it's okay, Ash, you'll be in each other's hearts" (such a cliche, by the way.) And I cried when James lost Victreebel, too, and apparently, that was supposed to be COMIC.  I know that Ash can't just drag the same party around forever, and they have to rotate Pokemon on the show, but when you're someone who's seen nearly everyone important to her in her life disappear at one time or another, it's painful. Like in the same way people who've been stuck in tornados can't watch Twister, I guess, or something.

Oh well. I'm getting The World Ends With You sometime this week. Maybe that'll make me feel better.

(And I won't get into Why My  VisComm Teacher is a Douche here. I've done enough complaining for one LJ post.)

In happier news, I wrote some fanfiction!

You get art, too! And speaking of fanfiction, the characters meme from the bottom of my last post here needs some filling out. Please do so. I want to write more random drabbles.
