Stupid cosplay elitists.

So I post on Cosplay.com's forums asking how to fix my wig to look like James...

They tell me my wig's too cheap and I need to buy a "real" cosplay wig.

Can someone PLEASE tell me what the deal is? The only thing I picked up from their posts is that they're a bunch of stupid elitists who don't think cosplay should be allowed for people like me who DON'T have $30 to spend on a wig.

Some of us can't spend hundreds of dollars on costumes, you know. There are better things to spend that kind of money on, IMO. Lame.

...I'll figure something out, but either way, this is lame. And if this is what the "real" cosplay community is like, I suppose I'm not a "real" cosplayer then.

The cosplay community at large is FULL of elitists.

...though they can still give decent advice, at times.

Apparently, they recommend I buy a "real, high-quality wig". Even though I *explained* I couldn't afford one. Although I find it interesting... they tell me I should buy from Cosworx, and their advertising is all over the site. Someone else on there was a little more polite, however... they ACTUALLY gave me advice. But the person who got on my case in the first place said to "start doing chores to get money to buy a real wig."

I'm sorry. It just pisses me off when people question my cosplaying because I don't have all that much money. Really, it almost seems like they're trying to say "you don't have $100 to spend on a decent costume, so we're not letting you into our little club"
