Finally... I found the library.

rosejailmaidenSo Drew-kun took me downtown today, and I thought, "Why don't I go to the library? It's a nice day, after all" (well, aside from the rain, but living in Indiana, you inevitably get used to it)
Except the library's on the OTHER FREAKING SIDE OF DOWNTOWN INDIANAPOLIS.
So here I am, leaving Drew in Borders to read his fanservice manga, and all of a sudden, I'm like... Wait, where IS the library?
Now, the thing that must be known here is that for the last 10 years or so, they've been building a shiny new Central Library. Only things keep falling through, and the library that should have been opened now is still under construction. So we have an interim central library where the State Museum used to be. Going in the State Museum sure brings back Neku's memories... I remember coming in here for Christmas. Only now, I'm going up the stairs... to get on the very computer I type this LJ entry on.
Anyhow, I figure, "The interim lib. can't be far from Shiny New Under Construction lib." So I go to it... and there's a sign saying the Interim one is on Alabama.
And I'm all "Where the Hikari is Alabama street? DX?"
So I walk back, past the monuments I'd walked by earlier, and see two ladies on their lunch break. I ask, and one of them's all, "I'm not sure. It's down that way."
Which was the way I thought I should have gone in the first place, but of course, I ignored Nekou, who was yelling at me in my head, "That way, you MORON! THATAWAY! Sheesh, with you and your sense of direction, you'd never make it in Team Rocket..."
And I'm all, "Thank you, Nekou." (This happens quite often, by the way. Nekou likes annoying me when I don't need annoying)
So I walk ANOTHER twenty minutes and finally find the nice, happy Interim Library. And Nekou's like "Told you so" and I'm all "shut up, Nekou, or I'll find some way to tell the boss about Kali and Persian." (fanfic reference. Go to Rocket100. NOW.)
And here I am now. So I'm quite happy. Even though my feet are killing me.
Thank you. I realize that's 5 minutes of your life you'll never get back you just spent reading this. Sorry about that.
